This is a view of the cherries from Julianstown Golf Club. Julianstown Text Alert has received reports from the builders of the new pri-mary school at Whitecross that some of their machinery was damaged last week-end. They have been given to understand that local teenagers have been suspected of causing this vandalism. Parent’s please note where your teenagers are, as the cost of repair for these machines could be quite costly. Street Feast takes place in Julianstown Village Garden on Sunday 5th May from 12 noon to 2 pm. Street Feast is a day of local lunches across Ireland hosted by you and your neighbours. There are lots of good reasons to have a Street Feast, but it’s really just a great excuse to eat great food, celebrate your local community and meet new people who live near you. Just bring the food, and we will supply the tea/coffee and drinks for the children.Julianstown & District Community Association AGMThe Annual General Meeting of the Julianstown & District Community As-sociation will be held in the Church of Ireland Parish Rooms, Laytown Road, Julianstown on Thursday, 16th May at 8pm. John Macken & Tom Carson have given a heart back to our village when they totally refurbished ‘The Lime Kiln’ and opened the Gastro Pub and Shop. We had no flower beds, seating, planters or a Duleek Text Alert have bought a prop-erty marking machine to mark property like tools, machinery, high range racing bikes, garden mowers, all metals, plastic and leather goods can have your Eircode engraved on. Several local Text Alert Groups from Gormanston, Julianstown, and Duleek have been trained to use the machine and it will be loaned to Commu-nity Groups for engraving their machin-ery. It’s going to be a fantastic sight to behold when all the different varieties of aubrietia spread out over the entire bank! The 27 Par 3 & 4 holes are a real challenge and where in this day and age can you enjoy a day out for €6? Superb course, with many a dif-ficult bunker and well worth a round of golf. We will shortly be starting a complete revamp of the beds going up the hill in Julianstown and are in the process of drawing up a design. This will create a fo-cal point going up through the village and also include additional seating. We hope that you will support us by either giving a helping hand or making a donation to-wards the project. We want Julianstown to grow into an attractive, safe and sus-tainable village which will be home to a vibrant, creative and enterprising commu-nity, welcoming to all. The competition is for the top eight teams in the province, and having seen off Chanel College with a 2-0 away victory, the team claimed their spot in the final with a narrow against CBS Carlow. The final against Gorey Community School was a ding-dong affair, with the lead swapping hands as the game finished 2-2. Extra-time was a tense affair with both teams having chances to win the match.
