Emer was at the heart of all things in Julianstown for many years, including the award-winning Village De- sign Statement project which was driven by her in 2009/2010. She was an active member of the Julianstown Badminton Club and a mem- ber of the committee for the Julianstown Community Centre. She was amazing – always trying to give back and dedicated to helping others. She was a total inspi- ration, with such enthusiasm for life and fantastic community spirit. Emer empowered all those around her to take responsibility and branch out on their own. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and worked alongside her and our sincerest and heartfelt condolences to Donagh and Oisín at this very sad time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam. Julianstown & District Community As- sociation T he J.D.C.A. held their first meet- ing of the year in the Parish Rooms, Julianstown on the 16 th January, 2020. Here are some of the items that have been discussed which may be of interest to you. We have had many meetings now with Meath Co. Co. and officers from Dept. of Transport on the traffic chaos in Julianstown and a letter has now been sent to Traffic Infrastructure seeking a meeting to see what can be done to alleviate the thousands of cars going through our vil- lage on a daily basis. Several large housing schemes have been approved by An Bord Pleanála which will further impact on our village and it is our in- tention to seek further clarification on these. Things that need to be done: • Pavilion in Garden to host events • New Entrance to Garden on Drogheda Side of Village • Apply to get lighting for the Garden • Request information from Panda, Oxi- gen and AES as to when they will supply Brown Bins to residents of Julianstown and its environs • Contact Council re state of Mosney Road, Ballygarth Road and lack of Bus Shelters at top of Mosney Road. Dates for Events in Julianstown An Taisce Annual Clean Up - Saturday 4 th of April - clean up of whole village Meath County Council Anti Litter League - 8 weeks (March and April) and we hope that all the housing estates in vil- lage will take park.
