The atmosphere in the stadium was something else. The girls were in awe of listening and watching every move from the two teams and join- ing in on the singing and chanting. The playing season may be coming to a close but there’s still a hive of activity. Here’s a rundown of the month’s activities Minor Championship Success Well done to our Division 1 minor boys who won the Championship last month. The game that was played as the curtain raiser to the Senior Championship final in Páirc Tailteann was a titanic struggle that ebbed and flowed and provided great en- trainment for the 4,500 strong crowd. This was our 4 th final in 6 years and our second win in recent times. On the bank holiday Monday our Division 4 boys were aiming to make it a double but it wasn’t to be as we went down by 1 point to Ballinlough at the Kilmainham venue. Whilst we had numerous chances to draw and maybe win the game there is no taking away from the fact that it was a championship season to remember at minor level. To reach two finals was an outstanding achievement. Our Minor Championship winners visited the local schools in the area with their trophies from a great year. Here’s hoping it will inspire many more successes in years to come © December 2019 The Meath Coaster 65 The boys want to extend their thanks to our large band of supporters, our sponsors and backroom teams and all who helped in any way.
