Wednesday 9th May sees the start of the Ladies Inter-mediate Championship when we host Moynalvey at Piltown in huge game. Our B team play away to Dee Rangers on the 10th May and both games will go a long way to determining our champi-onship fates this year. The teams have worked exceptionally hard and deserve a huge crowd out to roar them on in these two challenging and high profile games. Good luck ladies ! Our hurling academy takes place every Monday night at Piltown and all are welcome – so come out and give it a go!Schools GAAOur schools competitions – Cooney Cup, Jimmy Curran Cup and Corn Cois Far-raige are going very well and entering the final rounds. Our boys team will host Donegal (McCumhaills from Ballybofey) and our ladies will host Monaghan (team TBC). Events like this cost a huge amount of money and effort that we all have had when they took to the hallowed turf that is Croke Park to partake in the Littlewoods GAA Activity day at the start of the month. 50 young boys and girls descended on the grounds with ex-citement high and dreams a plenty and we played some memorable games – hope-fully this is only the first of many visits to the great stadium.
