There have been a number of changes in the school, including the wear- ing of face masks, new sanitisation pro- cedures, split lunches and a new one-way system. Our dáltaí have adjusted to these new conditions with grace, dignity and indeed great humour, and we are very proud of their collaboration. many challenging moments. Dinosaur in CNI At a time when we all believed Covid 19 was the greatest threat to dáltaí and múin- teoirí in Coláiste na hInse, a dinosaur rampaged through an Danlann on a Friday morning. Despite initial fears, the dinosaur was a friendly veg- etarian, content on a socially distant visit to the school. § Inion McCarrick Leaves Coláiste na hInse Coláiste na hInse marked the final day of Inion Anne Marie McCarrick’s time as principal with the ringing of the origi- nal school bell and a final address from Príomhoide. Inion McCarrick has served as Príomhoide of Coláiste na hInse since its foundation, with the school beginning with 79 students in the Neptune Hotel in 2008. She began with a clear philosophy of bród, uaillmhian and dearfachas, and these ideas have become the pillars of this school. She leaves after more than a decade captaining our ship, through incredible successes and Coláiste na hInse, Baile an Bhiataigh, Co.
