< Previous© March 2019 The Meath Coaster50On the 12th February we held our AGM in Reddans, and from the reports on the night from our outgoing Chairman, Sec-retary, and Treasurer we are delighted to say that the Club has never been in a stronger position than it is right now, both structurally and financially and that is down to the hard work and dedication of the Committee, Coaches and Volunteers. When this committee took over two and a half years ago under the Chairmanship of Andrew Lennon, we had a very clear vi-sion of where we wanted to take the club and what goals we needed to achieve in order to get there. In that time not only did we meet these goals we also surpassed them and today the club and local com-munity in general are hugely benefitting from all the hard work that has been put in along the way. Our clubhouse and the Seafield area in general are a prime exam-ple of how far we have progressed, it is barely recognisable from what it was like 36 months ago. The Club would like to take this oppor-tunity to thank Andrew for all his hard work and commitment as Chairman, and although he is passing on the reigns from Laytown United SFCwww.laytownunitedsfc.com / www.facebook.com/LaytownUnitedSFCOur U12’s heading off to Liverpool on their LLS Your Tour Trip © March 2019 The Meath Coaster51We are extremely lucky to have the re-maining Committee Members return-ing, and we would like to welcome Shay O’Donoghue in to his new role as Chair-man, Shay is a long standing clubman and has been here since the Clubs inception, after filling many roles from Secretary to Coach and lots more in-between it is very fitting that he will begin his Chairman-ship in this, the 10 year Anniversary, of Laytown United. The rest of the Committee is comprised of:Jane O’Keeffe - SecretaryLorraine McGillivary – Treasurer Dave Conroy – Director of FootballNicola Crowe – PROSiobhan Tunstead – Child Welfare Officer We would also like to welcome Colin Nulty and Liam O’Reilly. We are very ex-cited and eager to continue with where we left off from last season, with lots of new projects and ideas flying round be sure to watch this space. §this role he will still be very much a part of the Club structure helping us out more in the background, his knowledge covers a vast range of subjects and his input will continue to be invaluable to the Club, but for the moment he is looking forward to being able to fully focus on his team as they step up to the under 12 age group, Andrew we wish you every success for the future, it has been a pleasure working alongside you.Bfamous Stage SchoolsA new Stage School has opened in Scoil Oilibheir Naofa, Bettystown in February which will cater for ages 3 years to teens in dancing, singing and acting.Brendan Scully together with business partner Clare Ryan have been running Bfamous Stage Schools in Donaghmede and Cabra for several years.
