This project has been with An Bord Pleanála for some time. We can now progress the much an-ticipated new school development. There is something very special about the ethos and culture in Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh which I can attribute to the legacy of Maurice Daly, Sister Rosemary, Ronan Mac Fadden, former Principals of SSN.A word of acknowledgement to the previ-ous Boards of Management who worked tirelessly and in collaboration with the Sisters of Mercy to acquire additional land and achieve planning so we, the school community, can remain on site in a new school.Meantime a word of thanks to the staff of SSN whose flexibility and adaptation in ensuring the provision of an excel-lent education for the pupils of Laytown / Bettystown continues throughout this process, and now will reap the benefits of a new school campus. The Parents Associations of SSN have en-sured that fundraising initiatives over the years have greatly supported the funding of resources for our school.
