A free and simple initiative; The Daily Mile aims to improve the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of the children in your school. It is not PE, sport or cross-country but a physical activity which can help children to focus and concentrate in the classroom and raise their attainment. The Daily Mile is successful because it is simple and free: * It takes place over just 15 minutes, with children averaging a mile each day. * Chil-dren run outside in the fresh air – and the weather is a benefit, not a barrier. * There’s no set up, tidy up, or equipment required. * Children run in their uniforms so no kit or changing time is needed. * It’s social, non-competitive and fun. * It’s fully inclu-sive; every child succeeds, whatever their circumstances, age or ability. If you are interested in starting The Daily Mile with your whole school or one of the classes in your school, please contact Meath LSP for an expression of interest form or email paul.friel@meathcoco.ie© February 2018 The Meath Coaster41Pancake MorningEast Meath Hospice AssociationWe are holding our Annual Pancake Morning in City North Hotel on Tuesday February 13th,10 am to 12.30 pmLooking forward to meeting old friends and new on the day, come and join us for Pancakes Coffee Tea ,and chat.Get a bar-gain on our stalls, Designer clothes and accessories ,nearly new, Plants, Home Baking, BricaBrac, Books, Raffle for great prizes will take place around mid-day.Committee members will be on hand if you would like to know about services provided by East Meath Hospice Associa-tion in your local communityWe look forward to your continued sup-port, without which we could not provide our voluntary driving service for people who are attending Hospitals for treatment for cancer. This service is door to door, free of charge, and can be contacted on 087 2100036.
