The Club are extremely lucky to have such a talented group of young players who are one of the best in the County and are growing from strength to strength. Training will resume mid-January, 2019 and all new players are welcome. Please follow Club notices for more information. A massive congratulations to Ellen Grant who has also made the Meath Mi-nor Panel for the 2019 season, This will come as no surprise to anyone that knows Ellen as she has constantly made under age Meath panels right up through the ranks. We are indebted to you all Big well done to our u13 girls who won the Division 1 title last month!More Success For The ClubOne would be forgiven for thinking that November was a quiet month and a time to rest up but far from it in fact as the club goes from strength to strength. On the field, pride of place in the month just gone by goes to the U13 Division 1 girls who claimed league honours over our good friends from up the road, St Pat-ricks. 2018 has been a memorable year for ladies football with significant pro-gress and development made and every one of our teams has been outstanding. Therefore after reaching Division 1 finals at u12 and U16 this year it was only fit-ting that the u13 girls marked such a pro-gressive year by winning our first ever Division 1 title in Ladies football. Well done to all the panel, coaches and every-one involved with Ladies football across the board. We are so proud of you all on a wonderful yearHard luck to our wonderful Minor Girls Division 5 team who did us so proud in reaching the final where they came up against a formidable St Michael's team. What a wonderful year for both our minor girls teams with two finals in the bag and what a bright future lies aheadNot to be outdone another fast develop-ing group that go from strength to strength is our hurlers. Playing under the "Saints" brand the St Colmcilles St Patricks com-bination capped a very fine year which saw us really grow and develop by win-ning the U15 Shield with a fine win over Boardsmill at Dunganny. Like the ladies, © December 2018 The Meath Coaster62a great show was put on by the hosts. We had performers in the Solo Singing and Stage Presentation and how proud did they make us feel. After two excellent perfor-mances we placed in Solo Singing and took home the Stage Presentation prize and now progress to the Leinster Finals (also in Oldcastle) this month. We wish all our participants the very best of luck and thank everyone involved especially our own Gwen Lanigan and Denise Morgan who are making huge strides in this area at Club, County and National levelPresentation of the inaugural Cilles Skills trophy for the Jackser Kavanagh Perpetual TrophyCongrats Ellie and Ella on selection for the Meath u16 ladies team Well done to our Stage Presentation team who won the County Scor na nOg competition this history making achievement is a tes-tament to hard work across the board and is a wonderful way to cap a fine year for Hurling. Again a big well done to all the panel, the coaches and everyone involved. Now enjoy a well-earned restOur u13 boys Division 7 team capped a fine year winning the league v Ratoath at the end of October. The boys have had a wonder-ful year and can now look forward to a de-served rest and reflection and look forward to 2019 with confidence and excitementThis weekend may be the opening strains of December but barring a replay should see the conclusion of the Football year as both U15 boys teams go into final action at Dunganny. The Division 4 boys play the St Oliver's combination whist the Division 1 boys play Duleek Bellewstown. If both games go the way of the earlier league en-counters then they promise to be absolute crackers so let's get out and get behind the boys. Well done to everyone involved especially the "Mo-Bro's" who make it what it is and put Men's Health to front of November. Let's make sure that everyone learns the lessons of the campaign and put health to the fore-front in everything we do. The Movember celebrations featured four superb events of entertainment and mes-sages. The month opened with a won-derful evening in the company of Irish Athletics (and Ballinteer St John's GAA) star David Gillick who took us through his story and life. What an inspirational evening from a wonderful role model he is. We had a Spinathon at Southgate Shop-ping Centre that proved a wonderful day of fun. The celebrations came to an end with our Movember Football Match and our now annual Panel Discussion and Shave Off at the D Hotel hosted by the irrepressible Sean Perry featuring GAA legends Charlie Redmond, David Beggy, Bernard Flynn and Colm Nally.
