Whilst this is likely to appeal to children of National School age, those who are in Secondary School, Third Level, teachers and anyone else who would like to bring along their bags is most welcome to do so. The Church is situated on the Laytown Road and the service is open to everyone who would like to come along. The comic introduces two characters and their adventures to the Fleadh Cheoil. The comic pays tribute to local culture, history and folklore and is set in and around the Boyne Valley. “I’m very inspired by reading comics. Ireland has such a rich culture and herit-age, so I wanted to tie it into the Fleadh through my illustrations. I wanted to do a comic that is set in Drogheda and that taps into the town's rich history and culture but the folklore element was also very impor-tant to me. The Fleadh is such an impor-tant and memorable event for Drogheda and I wanted to create something memo-rable through my comic”.Copies are available locally or through Brian himself @ brianlounds@gmail.com or by mobile on 0877926351.© August 2018 The Meath Coaster11041 98 444 98 041 98 111 98086 838 4444www.eastcoastcabs.comEAST COAST CABSEAST COAST CABS SERVICING MEATH COAST & DROGHEDA REGIONS CABS - 4, 6 & 8 SEATERSNEW RANGE OF MINI-VANSCOACHES - 16, 24, 36 & 54 SEATERS AVAILABLEF. Afew cases have already been reported of people suffering the sting from these creatures.Research published by NUI Galway in the international journal Toxins in 2017 showed that the best first aid treatment for a lion’s mane sting is to rinse with vin-egar (or the commercial product Sting No More® spray) to remove tentacles, and then immerse in 45°C hot water (or apply a heat pack) for 40 minutes. Please be vigilant when visiting the beach as stings from these jellyfish can be very serious. The absence of a red flag does not mean that the waters are jellyfish free so when bathing or walking on the beach, Meath citizens and tourists alike are asked to be vigilant for these potentially dangerous creatures.See Irish Water Safety guide-lines advice for jellyfish stings: www.iws.ie/beach/jellyfish-safety.321.htmlThe advice is: ‘Do not swim if a red flag is flying. Please always obey all flags at our guarded beaches and take extreme caution when entering the water.’Looking for somewhere different to bring the kids?!Meath County Council are hosting a ‘Family Treasure Hunt’ every Saturday from 14th July to 25th August, 2018.
