In particular need of helpers at the moment are the U8s, the U7s and below, while all of our other teams are also always on the lookout for an extra pair of hands. You don’t have to have played GAA be-fore and of course we will help you get started. All you need to do is turn up. Most teams just need an extra pair of hands on board and Mammies, Dad-dies, friends and family are all welcome. If you can throw a ball, blow a whistle or hand out jerseys then why not join in when you bring your child to training or games? It’s also a great way to keep ac-tive and get some fresh air! The more people we have helping out, the easier it will be for each team and the more attention each child will get. If you can help out for an hour a week at training or games please send an email to pro.stpatricksmeath@gmail.com with your contact details and we’ll be right back to you.Underage hurlingOur ever-growing underage hurling sec-tion is back underway for the 2018 season and having already impressed greatly at the Gormanstown indoor tournament by winning club of the year we are looking to push on further. Our numbers from U10’s right down to U7 is brilliant and having a successful and exciting amalgamation with our neighbours St Colmcilles from U12 through to U15 the future is certainly bright, as always we are on the look out for more; if your child is interested in picking up hurling, or if you ae interested in helping out as a mentor for our U12 team please don’t hesitate to get in con-tact. Please send on your contact details to pro.stpatricksmeath@gmail.com and we will get back to asap. © April 2018 The Meath Coaster71Senior Football It wasn’t the best month for our senior footballers having gone down to defeats to Skyrne and our neighbours St Colmcilles this March. But there are plenty signs for optimism with two goods wins against Ratoath and Moynalvey already in the bag and a number of Injuries to key players leaving much of our younger players get-ting the chance and performing well. There was great excitement in the build-up to the event with members supporting the vast array of novel fundraisers that went ahead from car washes to clothes sales to fittest families and many, many more. On the night the actors arrived in some style with glitz and glam the buzzwords for the night. Hummers and Limos were also spotted as Hollywood came to East Meath. A key figure in the night was the MC, our very own Sean Perry who kept the crowd entertained and informed in the best possible way. Sean caught the mood perfectly ! A big congratulations to every one of the actors, actresses and extras - you were amazing.
