This year we have the option of purchasing new club gear from MFC sports when pay-ing for your membership. Prices for U10 down is €30 and for U11 up is €50. Please call into the club shop to specify your size. Juvenile memberships now have €40 sub attached to them which is paid as part of the membership. There will be NO further collection of subs (€2 or €10 per month) going forward. Remember, anyone not registered before March 31st will not be permitted to play for the coming year.Schools CoachingSt Pats return to school coaching this week right up until the end of March. Tuesday and Thursday's we will be taking St Patrick's NS Stamullen and on Wednes-day's Whitecross NS Julianstown. We are grateful to both schools for giving us this opportunity. The club would also like to thank our coaches who are again giving up their valuable time to help. Our coach-ing will target the further development of players from our club and will focus on the fundamental skills needed for our GAA games. Any parent who may be in-terested in coming down and helping out with the coaches in the school at any stage during the next few weeks please do not hesitate to do so. All help and support will be greatly appreciated by the coaches and all of the kids §February 2017 The Meath Coaster ©53Naomh Colmcille C.L.G.All Ireland Final 2017 - We’re on the way to Croke ParkAll our dreams came true Sunday 29th Jan when we overcame the mighty Pomeroy from Tyrone by the minimum of margins on a 3-11 to 2-13 score line in ArmaghSeemingly cruising at an 8 points ahead Pomeroy scored 11 to knock us back but a late goal and point have taken us to the All Ireland club final in Croke Park on Sunday Feb 19th where we will face West-port of Mayo to be crowned All Ireland ChampionsNo words or thanks can do justice to this su-perb achievement and we NEED all of East Meath behind us on the Sunday. We’re going to Croker!!!!Strictly Cilles 2016A huge thank you to everyone who sup-ported and took part in our very suc-cessful Strictly Cilles 2016 event on the 29th and 30th of December. This is a tremendous and well de-served honour to one of the best forwards in the country and we are immensely proud of Graham’s achievement. Graham fol-lows in the footsteps of Bob O’Malley as Meath Captain, a spell that saw the Roy-als lift the National Football League title in 1994. Colm will forever be a freeman of the Piltown road delivering Meath and Leinster Club Championship titles and a maiden Corn na Boinne title. The docu-mentary that charted the role of women in the GAA was well received and also included clubs in Cork, Dublin Donegal and Galway as well as ourselves. We are exceptionally proud of the role that Gwen played in the documentary and in our club and association (Gwen is also a Healthy Club ambassador for the GAA) and well done to her on her deserved recognition.
