Every child’s dream came true for five dancers from the local Fit Kids/Fit Teens dance school when brothers Oisin and Luka Oberik, Bobbi Sode, Kayleigh Arkins and Ethan Foster were chosen by RTÉ to perform on the Late Late Toy show.
Having been sworn to secrecy regarding the theme and their appearance, the youngsters found it so hard to contain their excitement for the weeks coming up to the popular event.
They were thrilled to show their Hip Hop skills with each of them building up quite a collection of trophies from national competitions. “I had two dreams” said ten year old Bobbi ‘ One was to represent Ireland at the World Hip Hop and Breakdance Championships and the other was to perform on the Late Late Toy Show. Now at least one has come true’.
Brothers Oisin and Luka from Laytown have been building up quite a reputation for their Breakdance skills and instead of arguing, as most siblings do, they battle it out with their best dance moves.
FKFT Director Jacinta Cassidy from Mornington is extremely grateful for the Schools success. Having been closed for eighteen months due to restrictions she is delighted that classes can operate at the moment and the children once again can follow their dreams. §
