Christmas Lights, Bettystown Square
The Christmas lights are on in Bettystown! Sadly for the second year running we’ve been unable to hold a Christmas lights event but we hope everyone will come down to the square and enjoy the tree and lights over the festive period.
The Christmas tree was provided by Meath County Council. We’d like to thank the following businesses and groups that have sponsored and supported BTT during the year and with the installation of the Christmas tree and lights. We encourage you to shop local and support them back.

There was a great result for Bettystown in the Laytown Bettystown Municipal District Pride of Place Awards held in Buvinda House, Navan on 29th October. Bettystown Tidy Towns won in the Climate Action Projects, Vacant Premises and Residential Streetscape categories. And our very own Tony Lennon was named Volunteer of the Year.
Brookside Residents’ Association were named runners up in the large housing estate category and there was a special mention for Bettystown in the Best Bee Friendly Front Garden category.
Our volunteers gathered together in Reddans to watch the livestream of the event. Many thanks to Reddans of Bettystown who provided complimentary tea, coffee and dessert. Thank you also to Anagenic Hair Design who sponsored our toast drink.
