Charity Leg Wax in aid of the LauraLynn Foundation:
On the final day of the term, five brave teachers waxed their legs in aid of the LauraLynn Foundation. In the weeks preceding, through the tireless work on Jennifer Gregory and her TY rang group, they set up a GoFundMe page to raise the funds. They also incorporated a Coin Drop initiative where students and staff could vote for their teacher of choice to get their leg’s wax. The Charity Leg Wax raised €4,024.41 between sponsorship, GoFundMe and the Coin Drop. A huge thank you to all who voted, and to our sponsors Laytown and Bettystown Golf Course, Pats Centra Bettystown, Homestore Bettystown and Burkes Pharmacy.

Lá Dearfacht
Colaiste na hInse’s daltai were busy out and about as part of their La Dearfacht or Positivity Days in the last two weeks of term. Our Senior Cycle daltai attended the Navan Adventure Centre, while our Junior Cycle daltai attended Dublin Zoo. It was great day out to reward the students for an incredible start to the year.
C25K Finale:
Today was a day of celebration for our C25K daltaí as they completed their 5KMs. There was a lovely atmosphere down on our beautiful Bettystown beach as our daltaí celebrated this great achievement together. 62KM was covered this term. A huge thank you to Iníon Gregory and our C25K coaches for their huge effort and commitment this term – early mornings and after school sessions, the dedication was something else. We’re back next term for running.
Senior Boys Soccer:
Our Senior Boys Soccer team have made a brilliant start to this year as they progressed to the third round of the FAI Cup. In their first game, they defeated Bremore College with great goals from Adam Daly. In their second game, they defeated Ratoath College. Well done, all.
Idirbhliain at Hell and Back
On the 27th of October, our IB daltai were put through their paces as they travelled to Kilruddy Castle for Hell and Back. With mountain runs and crawling in through mud, it is safe to say it was quiet bus journey home. Well done to all.
