Welcome back!
On Monday 30th August, we were delighted to welcome all students back for a new school year, especially our new Form 1 students and their parents. After a brief talk with Mr. Baker and 1st Year Head Ms. O’Hagan, the new students spent the morning getting organised with their Mentors and Tutor. With tours of the school, ice breakers and getting lockers organised it was a busy morning for all. Many thanks to the parents of the class of 2027(!) for choosing us to educate and help their sons/daughters through this important stage of their education and life. It truly is a privilege.
Summer Sporting Achievements
It was a very busy and successful summer for some of our students as they excelled in their chosen sports. Cara Donnelly, made history as the first student from our school to make the U16 Leinster hockey team. The Royal county made great strides over the summer and two of our students were a part of their success. 6th Form student Eoghan McCloughlan, was a member of the All-Ireland winning Meath Minor team and Robyn O’Byrne, (class of 2021) was part of the Meath Minor girls team who won the Division A title. Additionally, Form 5 student Caer Ní Ghibne, recently won the Leinster 1500m race and will go on to represent the school in the All Ireland Tailteann games in the coming days. We are incredibly proud of each of them.
LC results for class of 2021
The class of 2021 received their LC results this week and we couldn’t be prouder of their fantastic results. We wish each and every one of them the very best for the future and thank them for their meaningful contribution to our school. Floreat!
1st year Bonding Day
Form 1 students enjoyed a great day on our school pitches last week where they took part in various activities as part of their Bonding Day including archery and obstacle course races among many others. The day allowed the students to get to know their classmates better and other students in their year. It was a brilliant end to their first full week of school.
TY Bonding Trip
Last Friday our TY’s spent a full day at Carlingford Adventure Centre where they enjoyed an action packed day of activities including; zip-lining, canoeing, and peer jumping. It was a day filled with fun and adventure and a memorable start to a great year ahead for them.
