Outdoor dining has been gaining momentum during June in Stamullen, helped by the sunshine. The City North’s Delvin Terrace is open daily from breakfast to dinner and has a new fairy garden for the smaller guests (01-690-6666 or info@citynorthhotel.com for bookings). The Huntsman/Gibney’s has a large new beer garden with full menu for lunch and dinner.

The council has upgraded the paving at Whytes’s and the Daily Bread Cafe (open 8a.m. until 4p.m. Monday to Saturday) to enable outdoor service from those village venues. Whyte’s is continuing pints and cocktails delivery (order via 01-8412612) and their beer garden, including the charmingly named Bottle Lane, is open from noon every day of the week and they’re looking forward to resuming food service from the 5th of July.

St Mary’s Baton Twirlers are back for existing members outdoors since the end of June. Queries about new members should be sent to their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/119717341376855/user/100007061529293/

Stamullen FC are seeking under 16s female soccer players, born 2006, for their team. Training is on Mondays and Thursdays at 7p.m.
