Welcome Back
It has been an absolute joy to see players from all sections of the club back training, smiling, interacting and most importantly, enjoying themselves over the last number of weeks. As a club our focus has been on making the return to football as easy, seamless and fun for all. Our Boys, Girls, Football for All and Academy teams have all now returned with tremendous attendance in all age groups and across all categories.
Covid-19
The impact of Covid-19 on community sport and physical activity has only highlighted the importance grassroots football has on our society and respective communities. Clubs play a vital role in the promotion of positive mental health in children and social interactions are of paramount importance for our young people. At East Meath United we will continue to ensure that the health, safety and well-being of all our members is at the forefront of everything we do.
Thank you
We want to say a huge thank you to all of our coaches and volunteers who have kept the children and teams going during Covid and continue so passionately to ensure our members get as much football as possible in a safe environment.
Volunteers
As a non-profit club with teams across so many age groups, much of the success of our club is attributable to great volunteers. Throughout each season there are various volunteer opportunities for parents and older teenagers within the football environment and summer non-football related tasks. If helping out is something you think you might be interested in, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, all help is welcome.
