Another month rolls by, we’ve been very fortunate with the weather and have trained in beautiful sunshine at times. Training at Seafield with the juniors on a sunny Saturday is just fabulous!
Competition News
Delighted that race meets have returned, albeit in a limited format. Our juveniles are taking part in track and field events at both national and county level. Best of luck to everyone in the coming weeks!
A super well done to Holly Brennan, after competing in the AAI games on June 12th. The field was stacked with elite athletes. The race was won by Eilish Flanagan, the Irish international who is home from her athletic scholarship in Adams State University. Holly posted a PB and went under 10min for the first time in a 3k with a superb 9:59.49 which is a blistering average of 3:19 per kilometer. Lauren Murphy made her return to running the following day, after a long lay off, she set a blistering time of 4:46 in the 1500m. The ladies were back in action the following week, Holly took bronze in the junior 5000m and Lauren came 4th in both the 800m and 1500m U23s. Fantastic running, well done Holly & Lauren!

We will keep reviewing and offering places as they become available, so please bear with us if you’re waiting on news. If there are any budding coaches out there who’d like to get involved we’d love to hear from you, contact us through messenger or the number on our website www.cillesac.ie

Couch to 5k
