A special Christmas message to our School Community from the Staff in SSN & every Blessing in 2021
This has been an extraordinary year for every single member of our school community. We have learned man y lessons this year. We have learned about our own strength and resilience and we have discovered just what is most important to each and every one of us.
This year we made the collective decision to send a digital Christmas video to all the families celebrating all that is magical and positive in our school. This video is available to watch on the School Story and on our school website, also on the Principal’s blog on the website.
It has not been easy for so many of us on so many different levels, some have struggled with feelings of isolation and separation. Some have lost Loved Ones and their sadness is amplified by these challenging times.
However thankfully this year has brought us so many blessings. We have re-discovered the joy of doing simple things, like walking on our beautiful beach, gardening, exploring our neighbourhood and catching up with family and friends via zoom. We have been spending quality time with each other in our homes. We realise the importance of family and friends in our lives and appreciate them so much more.
Staff and pupils were thrilled to open the doors of the school in September and we have worked very hard to keep our pupils and Staff safe and well in school. Our pupils adapted very quickly to the new routines and we are most grateful to the Parents for their support and co-operation in assisting to keep the school doors open for the term.
Our Christmas video celebrates all that we have overcome this year and the joys that lie ahead as we move to a new year 2021. Let us continue to look out for each other, while remembering to take care of each other. We are thankful to those we hold dear, we remember those who have gone but are not forgotten and we look forward to the New Year with hope in our hearts.
A special word of thanks to the Board of Management and the Parents Association who have continue to support the work of the Staff in SSN. It is very much teamwork and that of collaboration with all the stakeholders in the educational provision of our children in SSN.

I wish to acknowledge the Staff of SSN who have been tremendously supportive of the vision and characteristic spirit of all that is inclusive and positive in our school. They have worked tirelessly to ensure the Wellbeing and Welfare of our pupils are at the heart of everything we do in the school.
Myself and the Staff in Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh wish each and everyone in the school community happiness, joy and peace as we move to a New Year 2021.
