Christmas celebrations
As we all know, this year Christmas will be very different and it has not been possible to hold the BTT Christmas event for switching on the village lights. But the festive spirit is still strong in Bettystown! Our volunteers have been working hard to brighten the village with lights, tree and festive decorations. A special video presentation of the Christmas preparations and lighting of the tree is available to view on the Bettystown Tidy Towns Facebook page.
We are grateful for the support from local businesses and councillor’s who have contributed to the decorations and to the cost of the installation of the Christmas street and tree lights.
A big thanks and a very Merry Christmas to all our sponsors:
- Alan Berrill of Julianstown Golf Course and Pitch & Putt

Community Clean Up
Well done to the St Colmcille’s Under 14s girls’ team who helped clean up the beach with a litter pick in the dunes after their training session.
If your community group would like to take part in a community clean up please contact Bettystown Tidy Towns on Facebook.
Wildflower gardens
Our green fingered volunteers have been busy in the wildflower gardens this month. The Kite Garden got a fresh look after weeding, raking and new paths were laid out. We’ve also been doing some autumn planting in the Green Gate Garden. Our thanks to Liz and Roger of The Cottages who have provided us with some great plants.
